Officers. At its first meeting following the May election of Board members, the Board of Directors elects four of its members to one-year terms as officers of the Institute. Profile
Board of Directors-OLLI is a membership organization with an 15-person Board of Directors selected by the membership to three-year terms. One-third of the Board is elected each year. The board size is being reduced from 18 to 15, based on bylaws change. Elected by the general membership during the month of May. The term of office commences with the first regular meeting of the Board to be held within six weeks after the closing date of the election.
Note: Directors completing a second consecutive three-year Board term must wait at least two years after the second term before running again. Ex-officio members of the Board, non-voting, by virtue of position (e.g., executive director and-listed below alphabetically by chair's last name-committee chairs who are not directors).
How to Contact a Director or the Board-To send an email to any director, please obtain his/her email address by consulting the online Membership Directory (first log in to the Member Portal, then click Member Directory in the left-hand navigation panel). To send an email to the entire Board, which any OLLI member is welcome to do, please send your email to the executive director or the OLLI administrator, asking that it go to the Board.
Activities at OLLI are managed by the executive director (a full-time employee), member volunteers and a small staff of part-time employees.
OLLI members are encouraged to participate in the many support functions by volunteering; see the volunteer page, the current volunteer-opportunities page and the Member Handbook (pdf) for more information on volunteering at OLLI. A list of all OLLI presidents may be found here.
